Transform A Life

Our founders began transforming the lives of orphans in Peru in 2005. The premise of our foundation is that a college-level technical education is the key to lifting these young adults out of poverty. We assist them for three years of studies to help transform their lives, and they, in turn, become positive influences within their communities. So, join us and help transform lives and communities through educational opportunities.

Mission

To provide college level technical education scholarships to impoverished students and orphans in Peru, South America.

Vision

To empower Peruvian students living in poverty and orphans with the means to complete a college level technical education that will help them transform their lives.

Values

The values that embody the organization are the same that we look for in the young people awarded the scholarships. These values are honesty, integrity, hard work, and perseverance.

The Last Shall Be First Scholarships is an organization that is close to its founders’ hearts. Daniel and Irma O’Connor believe in the two Great Commandments. The first is to love God with all your heart, and the second is to love your neighbor as you would yourself. They have been supporting students to break the cycle of poverty since 2005. They have provided scholarships for young people in Peru to acquire technical degrees and life-long skills that transform their lives. Dan and Irma have been blessed in many ways, and they would like to invite you to join them in reaching and transforming the lives of impoverished students.
